Levofloxacin Tablets IP is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It belongs to a class of drugs known as fluoroquinolones, which work by stopping the growth and reproduction of bacteria. Common infections that Levofloxacin can be used to treat include:

• respiratory infections (such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis)
• urinary tract infection
• skin and
• soft tissue infections

It can also be used to prevent infection in people exposed to anthrax or plague. Levofloxacin should only be taken under the supervision of a physician and it is important to complete the full course of treatment as prescribed to fully treat the infection and prevent antibiotic resistance from developing.
